FAQ
Does strike.trading tell my agent what to trade?
No. The server returns market prices, your own positions and orders, and your limits. There are no signals, picks or ranked trades. best_expression compares ways to express a view, never whether to hold it.
Where does the data come from?
From Tradier’s live option quotes for your account. P(above) and the prices are computed with closed-form math from those quotes. There is no model and no stored opinion.
Can my agent move money or change its own limits?
No. There is no deposit, withdrawal or transfer endpoint anywhere, and limits can only be loosened by you in the terminal.
What happens if my agent retries an order?
If it reuses the idempotency_key, it gets the original order back. An order can’t be submitted twice.
How do I test without risking money?
Use paper mode. It runs the same checks and the same log against Tradier’s sandbox, delayed 15 minutes. Every Free agent is paper-only.
How do I stop an agent right now?
Halt it from the Agents screen in the terminal. Halting cancels its open orders and rejects new ones until you resume it. Revoking also refuses its tokens from the next call; reconnecting the client creates a new agent.
Can I see what my agent saw when it made a decision?
Yes. Every call is logged with the ladder snapshot_id it was computed from, kept for two years. get_log returns the agent’s own history; the Log screen shows everything.
Is there a REST API?
No. MCP is the only API. Any MCP client works, and clients that only speak stdio can use a bridge such as mcp-remote.
Which symbols are supported?
SPY, QQQ and IWM at launch, with more single stocks to follow. Free covers SPY and QQQ. list_symbols returns what your account can read.
